Prior to our marriage, my husband had done business with John Mouw and State Farm for several years. Even before that, his parents had done business with John Mouw and State Farm for years. After our marriage in 1998, we decided to stay with the same agent, even though many people told us we could get a better rate elsewhere. That may have been true, but you cannot get the personalized and friendly service that John and his staff provide. In addition, over the past 7 years, we have actually seen our combined home/auto policy premiums reduce because we are given discounts for combined polices, safe drivers, etc. We did make a couple of phone calls to Progressive and Geico over the years and not only could they NOT give us better auto rates, they couldn't give us the friendly, personalized, prompt service that John has provided to us over the years. In addition, State Farm has a very helpful and informative website that is easy to navigate and understand.
