I have been getting my teeth cleaned on a regular basis for years. We had a change in insurance so I had to go there. I had to wait an hr because they were running behind. When I had my exam they tried to say I needed all this work done and I had gum disease and needed a deep gum cleaning. I went to a gum specialist and I don't have gum disease they were just trying to make money off of me. I found out later that the hygienists are paid on commission so they make their money by doing deep cleanings. So if they tell you that, you had better run and get a second opinion like I did!! Or better yet just don't go there!!
