My father lives in Las Vegas and his entire family lives in Wisconsin. When my family learned that my dad was hospitalized we called to speak to my dad or speak to a nurse involved in his case. We were transferred to phones that rang and rang, hung up on, told incorrect information and learned that my dad's care was withheld care because my dad was disoriented, couldn't give permission for his care and didn't assign a family member to be power of health attorney. Instead of immediately getting a case manager involved to find a proxy power of health atty my dad waiting 3 days for his needed cardiac procedure. This is truely the most unprofessional and incompetent hospital I've ever dealth with.
