Med-Assist is generally adequate for minor injuries or illnesses with qualified medical staff available and is certainly less wait and less costly than the local ER. You do have to pay at the time of service. On a few occasions I have had to go on to the ER anyway due to their lack of certain machines or inability to assess certain medical concerns. Most recently I arrived in severe pain, barely standing and was totally ignored as I stood at the counter while several ladies were laughing and acting as if on a coffee break. I finally had to demand a room and some attention. I ended up having a kidney stone and had to go to the ER anyway.
