Review content:
We did a total remodel of our kitchen/dining room/laundry room/pantry. This involved knocking out walls, refinishing large amounts of existing wood flooring to match new flooring, stone countertops (for an island), steel countertops (for the remainder of the work surfaces), and some high end appliances. Working with GBS was great. We were wary of design/build firms that required substantial payments before we would even get an estimate of the cost. GBS was willing to estimate the cost of the cabinets (by far the most significant cost for most kitchen remodels) and provide really basic renderings for free. Once we were comfortable with the cabinet cost and committed to at least buy our cabinets through them, they brought their primary sub (Quality Craft Construction) to provide a detailed bid for the entire job.
