I went to RMUC because my primary Dr. couldn't get me in right away, and wanted me to be seen for the leg pain, and numbness that kept getting worse day by day. I went in and was told that if I wanted them to bill my copay I would have to pay an additional $25. No problem. I went to the back to have this girl go over my medical history. When I said my mother has fibromyalgia, she laughed, and said she does not think that is a Dx. she thinks that they just say that because they dont know what is wrong with the patient. Then she asked my weight, I told her that I was unsure, she said to just guess (there was a scale right out the door!) I thought this was process when you checked in a patient?. She proceeded to take my tempature, and then WITHOUT taking my blood pressure, she just wrote a number down right in front of me! If I didnt work in the healthcare field, I might have not noticed this lack of work ethics! I was sent to the back room, and when the Dr.came in I explained that I was there because my PCP wasn't avilable, and described my leg pains, and numbness. She asked if I was a heavy drinker! I had already told her that I wasn't, and that my Dr. thought it could be neuropathy from my diabetes. She said ""Oh your on medications for diabetes?"" Which clearly she didn't review my chart. I told her my other medications, and she then asked if I have ever been Dx'd with depression, and anxiety? I again had to exlpain if she looked at my medications, she could see I am on medications for both. She then stated that she couldn't Dx me with neuropathy, but then Rx'd neurotin for nerve damange? If you cant diagnose something, why would you perscribe something? I asked her what side effects I should be concerned about with this new medication, and how my other medications would react with it, she said she didn't know, but when I fill my Rx. that there is a pamplet that should tell me. WTF kind of quack in the box do they have working there. Needless to say I will not be returning there, and I am going to file a formal complaint on this company, for negligence.
