We began taking our dog here when she was a puppy - after a move to PA and then down to Huntington Beach, we still haven't come across anyone as kind and knowledgable as Dr. Wallen. We now drive 45 minutes just to see her! \r

We did, however, have a very unpleasant with Dr. Nelson one day when Wallen was not available. Nelson had an awful bedside manner, was rude to both me and my dog and finished my experience by clipping a blister on my dog's pad with no warning. When my dog yelped, she said, "Shh! That doesn't hurt!" Our dog has been afraid of the vet ever since. Dr. Wallen is very understanding and compassionate with our dog's new problems (which I STILL blame on that scary visit with Dr. Nelson.) \r

All in all - Wallen is the vet I recommend to all my friends. Nelson is so unpleasant I specifically tell people to stay away from her. The staff is kind and the vet techs are gentle. Keep with Dr. Wallen and you'll never disappointed.
