I have never felt embarrassed and humilliated in my life until last saturday night when I visited Barnes and Noble in Emeryville, Ca. I just sat down at the Cafe and was immediately asked to get out of my seat unless I buy something at their Cafe. The Manager told me that to seat somewhere else. If it was just that easy to seat on the floor I would have done so. But it's hard to un-do the leg braces and squat on the floor. I felt so embarrassed by her approached, I felt like I was Rosa Parks when she was asked to leave her seat in the bus reserved for other patrons. I left the store crying. I don't think I will go to that store again.
