I have been a customer of Village Bakery for many years now, with satisfactory experiences each time. The week of July 7th, I ordered a birthday cake for a 7 year old. It was supposed to be a cake pictured in a photograph from an album I was shown at the Bakery. Two weeks later when I picked up that cake, my cake resembeled that cake, but it was not what I ordered. The cake I wanted had decorations cut from fondant, while the cake I was given had all piped icing decorations. I expressed to the two ladies behind the counter that this was not what I wanted and even had them pull out the photo album from where I chose the cake. With no time left to wait for a new and correct cake, I had to take the one they had made and leave. I will never order a cake from here again, nor will I ever prepay for a cake anywhere ever again. I believe I overpaid for the cake I received as opposed to the cake I ordered.
