When I brought my 7yr old Westy in for his yearly physical the doctor bacame very quiet when she felt his belly. She told me he had a tumor on his spleen. They did a sonogram and determined that it was not in his kidneys or liver and his lung x-ray was clear. She told me that even with all that, it was probably cancer but only taking out the spleen and having a biopsy could tell. The odds were that it was cancer. Luckily, it turned out to be benign, although leaving it meant it might have ruptured and caused him to bleed internally. \r
