As a former student, I can honestly say that the Next Step Dance Studio is the sole force responsible for shaping my development as a young person, and as a dancer. Growing up at the studio I became a talented and well-versed dancer, educated and capable of performing all styles of movement and technique, as is reflected in my current focus as a dance major at the University of California, Los Angeles. More importantly, however, I gained a sense of self that is invaluable. It was at the Next Step that I learned how to interact with teammates, cooperate with teachers, develop a sense of innovative creativity, and assert myself as an artist. My own self confidence, work ethic, and desire to be my best in everything I do is a direct reflection of the ideals and standards that the Next Step Dance Studio pushes its students to discover for themselves, and I cannot say enough about the value it holds in my own life.
