Review content:
After recommendations by friends regarding Anthony Bartels, I went to Bartels Law Firm to appeal my denied Social Security Benefits. I met with these people one time during the initial appointment to review my case. No one has met with me or called me since that initial visit, other than through a failed hearing before a law judge. All other communication has been through the mail. I have never laid eyes on Mr. Anthony Bartels. In calling into the office, they are only familiar with you through your file number. The receptionist and office staff is not friendly and courteous. After the second denial, Mike Sherman was assigned to appear at my hearing before a law judge. This was the first time I had ever seen him or spoken with him. He was not familiar with my case and spent the entire time thumbing through my paperwork. He never spoke up in defense of my case. After two years, we're now in process of filing the case before a review board. From my earlier experiences, I am not optimistic towards a favorable outcome. If you want a law firm who cares about its clients, becomes acquainted and familiar with the case, and really works hards towards obtaining your benefits, I would suggest that you look elsewhere.
