Review content:
Fans Travel, and particularly agent Elaine Huang, deserve a special recommendation. Over spring break of this year (2012), Fans Travel arranged a trip to southern China for the students taking Chinese at my son's high school. My wife and my son went together on this trip, and they had a great time. At least until they came to Dali, Yunnan Province. There my son had severe abdominal pains and had to go to a Chinese hospital. Soon he had an appendectomy. Their tour group had to leave them behind.
My wife very emphatically asked me to fly to China from the SF Bay Area and join them in Dali as soon as possible. I contacted Elaine and she quickly arranged flight itineraries, hotels, and even translators at some locations. She was very friendly and helpful and always reachable by phone when we were in China. Without her assistance, things would have been much worse for us. I can't recommend her highly enough.
