Review content:
Dr. Beard put a ceramic crown on my far back right tooth less than 2 years ago. That crown recently broke. Considering I have heart disease, my dental health has always been a top priority, and I have always regularly seen a dentist. I saw Dr. Beard when I was a student living in Cleveland. I have since moved back to Knoxville, and see a dentist here. The first thing I said when I called Dr. Beard's office was, ""how long should a ceramic crown last""? I was answered with the reply ""20 years"". I explained that my crown had broken, and they looked up my file, and said, yes, it has been less than 2 years, but too bad. They refused to fix my crown, b/c I haven't been seeing Dr. Beard every six months. I explained that I live in Knoxville, and see a dentist in Knoxville, and haven't noticed any problems with the crown. They still said too bad, we won't fix it. After I argued a bit they finally agreed to fix my tooth ""at cost"" which is $700. Obviously $700 is not at cost. When I told my dentist about the situation, he couldn't believe they wouldn't fix it and assured me that if anything happens to my new crown within 5 years he will replace it for free. I absolutely can not believe that Dr. Beard is totally fine with the crown he put in someone's mouth breaking in less than 2 years.
