My best friend and I were celebrating a ""Girls Day Out."" We were passing Exo Cafe and did a double back-step, due to the appearance of the restaurant and the soft mellow music floating out onto the sidewalk. OMG! I judge restaurants by the upkeep of their restrooms. Mama Foody gives Exo Cafe an A+ yall! Unfrigginbelievable! The service was superb! The food, from appetizers to the main dishes are divine. We fell in love with Exo's guacamole with chips. It was served differently than what one is used to, due to the homemade potato chips. Unfortunately, we were so full we didn't have room for dessert. We ate lunch and heard they had happy hour featuring half off on their drinks and I think their appetizers. We returned at 4:00 for their cocktail hour. We continued working our way through their delicious specialty drinks menu. The drinks were to die for, just as delicious as the food and definitely packed a punch! Of course we had to order the guacamole with chips again! They were just as good the second time around. We were visited by the owner Peter who is a hunk and an Angel! He made us feel as though we were guests at his home instead of at the restaurant. Peter took his time describing how many of their dishes are prepared and also described some of the dishes served during brunch. After the fabuleous food and five drinks later, my girlfriend and I felt as though we were at a private party. When the sun goes down the ambience gets even better and has that ""party"" atmosphere - we did not want to leave! Exo Cafe knows what their customers want and it is obvious that they pay attention to detail! Kudos to all of the decorators involved in making the appearance of the restaurant a success. I felt like I was at a restaurant in Manhattan instead of in Queens. We cannot wait to go back! I can definitely sense long lines during the summer.
