Who would expect to find a winery in the middle of Lexington? Lexington is known for it's BBQ, not the wine! Well, low and behold, things are changing. The Childress Vineyards opened about 1 1/2 years ago and has been a roaring success since then. My husband and I were charter members of the wine club. So we got a chance to view first hand some of the intricacies of the winery. It's a great place for a party, reception, wedding, dinner party, etc. The prices are great for the wine. There is a store on the premise that offers lots of other fun items. There is a wine tasting section and you can take a tour of the vineyard. Enjoy your time in Lexington!
