I like the theme that this Genoveses projects. Authentic Italian food, lots of Michelangelo and other Renaissance art repros on the walls...but, they fall short on a few accounts.
Yes, the food is generally good, but I get the feeling that their competition with the fast food pizza houses has reduced their Italian quality. Chances are, after ordering over the phone, youll get a local surfer kid on your doorstep who cant tell the difference between an antipasto and antipathy. Dont get me wrong, I hardly expect every employee to be a New York Italian Guido out of the Soprannos, but Id at least like the cooks, waitress, and delivery guys to generally know *something* about the business they are involved in. Bottom line, this random selection of employees has over time resulted in food that is less authentic. Corners have been cut, and an Americanization has replaced the taste of Europe.
As a whole though, despite my criticism, the food and staff have earned my esteem, and continued
