Review content:
I am Dr. Randy Bullard, owner of the Veterinary Clinic of Lubbock. While anesthetic deaths are rare, they do happen and they are very upsetting to us and of course, understandably, to the owners. We always ask for a phone number where we can contact the owners immediately in case of an emergency. About midway through the surgery, this puppy starting having problems and after doing all we could to resuscitate her, we lost her. This was between 9:30 and 10 in the morning. I immediately called the owners and did not get an answer. I called back again and I did leave a message. I should have just left a message for a return call ASAP. We left for the lunch hour at noon, leaving a receptionist at the clinic as we usually do. When the owners came in to find out what had happen, I was called and immediately returned to the clinic to discuss what had happened. Again, we deeply regret this puppy's death.
