Initially I requested a second floor 2/2 but got a first floor unit. They offered a second floor but I'd have to wait another month, so I took the first floor unit. Once I moved in the place was spotless but soon discovered the following summer my air conditioner was inefficient due to it being 26 years old. The managers refused to replace it unless it completely broke down. Beaches Energy offered to do an audit which revealed the air conditioner was inefficient and advised I ask for an official air conditioner tech to inspect it. Avistele' manager insisted their maintenance manager was certified in air conditioning and only wrapped exposed pipes and wiring. My electricity more than doubled in the summer months and management refused to replace my air condition stating the owner would not install a $3000 new air conditioner for one tenant. The apartment manager mentioned the rates raised recently--so I guess I look naive and stupid? Rates don't raise enough for electric bills to tr
