My family has used Whitestone Animal Hospital since the 1960s, and out many pets have always been given excellent care. I have boarded my large dogs there many times, and they have always returned home healthy and happy/ Dr. Merker is very compassionate and caring. I have read some comments about "extra testing" being suggested, and I have to comment on that.Last year, Dr. Merker recommended such testing for my apparently healthy 5 year old dog. He was suspicious of a problem, and the testing revealed a very serious (terminal) condition. We were able to treat our beloved dog, and he lived over 18 months despite the seriousness of the condition. Dr. Merker recommended second opinions and consulted specialists on our behalf, and gave us copies of all results, and references.I completely trust Dr. Merker and the staff with the health and care of my three dogs and 5 cats! He has even called us to check on our pets after treatments at emergency centers, and to off condolences when we have l
