Businiess name:  Sage Restaurant & Wine Bar
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
My wife and I visited Sage this past weekend on our first Door County trip, to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The editorial is correct in saying it presents a Hampton-like experience in one of Door County's quaint mid-western towns. While the food was excellent and well presented, the service was stretched thin, due to a large party consuming the back half of this small restaurant. We were notified beforehand of this party, but they assured me that the party wouldn't require too much of the restaurant's attention. They were wrong. This restuarant is wonderful for small, intimate groups or couples. The overall tone, being that it is a wine bar as well, is not for children. The salmon was very good. We also had a cheese fondue appetizer that would rival any fondue restaurant. A major plus in value would be that a house salad accompanies every meal. Pros: Inexpensive Wine, Wonderful Decor, Intimate Cons: Service, Not "Door County", Overpriced
