If you're a local kid who wants to stay very close to home, TU is a good choice if money isn't an issue. Money will not rain down from the financial aid office. TU is a private university and most students will have to pay for that distinction. Despite the higher costs, neither the quality of instruction nor available resources are better than OU, on the whole.
Some courses of study at TU are superior to those at the public universities. Most aren't. Whatever your intended course of study, do your research first. You'll probably find that paying more to attend TU will not show a commensurate return on the investment.
