I called to have someone come out and fix our washing machine. They charge a $35 fee just to come out and look at the problem. If they do the work, the $35 goes towards fixing it. When the repairman came and I explained the problem, he seemed to know what it was and called his "boss" about the part and the price. They went back and forth with each other and me on the price. $259, then $200, then $180. The part was $75. When we finally agreed on the price and he did the work, it only took him 10 minutes. I wish I made that much per hour. I wouldn't recommend them. I felt that I was being manipulated, especially since I already owed them $35 just for showing up.
