Review content:
I saw their ad in Arroyo magazine for free valuation day and went there on a Thursday morning, along some friends with my 2 items to get evaluated.\r
Their receptionist was polite and we were treated to coffee & fresh brownies, along with the other people waiting. After 5 minutes of chatting with folks, I was called in and helped by two of Moran's staff: one for a piece of jewelry I inherited and another gentleman who examined a painting I own.\r
\r
My ring was tested and verified by their gemologist to be an old 'mine cut' diamond and I was given an approximate weight and color grade, along with a value...which was more than I expected.\r
The painting was more of a puzzle, but they figured out the signature. It ended up being by an artist that Moran's had sold before...and the fellow explained who the artist was. It was a fascinating experience and very professional. I ended up leaving it with them to be sold and a month later, it brought double what they estimated it would at auction.
