I stopped taking my cats to VCA around 2002 after it was taken over by some money-grubbing corporation and the quality of care went way down. Prior to the corporate takeover, I was very happy with VCA.
Unfortunately, I made the bad decision to take my very sick cat there recently when I couldn't get an appointment at my regular vet. My cat obviously needed medical attention right away, but I wasn't able to get an appointment at VCA until near closing time. The vet was not able to determine what was wrong with him until she ran tests on him. She was not able to send the blood work to the lab until the following morning and would not have gotten the results until who knows when. It was very clear that my cat was very sick, but instead of doing what is best for my cat and suggesting that I take him to the emergency room right way, she actually let me walk out of there. When I got home, my cat had gotten so bad that I decided to take him to Penn Vet Hospital, where the doctor told me wit
