Review content:
I was a faithful employee of CENTRAL RUG & CARPET, 3006 CENTRAL ROAD, EVANSTON, ILLINOIS , since 2003. Late last year it was sold to Tom Iskalis. The name was changed to Bodala - DBA Central Rug. The new owner met with the employees and promised great things for the future, but that's about as far as the honeymoon went.\r \r Things changed very quickly. Most of the employees either quit or were discharged soon after Iskalis took over.\r I was discharged on Feb. 28, 2008, because I was looking for another place of employment.\r \r Here is where the beware part comes in. I was sent a letter offering COBRA continuation health insurance. I immediately accepted and returned the signed acceptance with my check for $1084 which they immediately cashed. They also accepted and cashed my checks for April and May of 2008, but they never put me on COBRA. They carried me on their group health plan as if I were still an employee until May 1, 2008, when they cancelled the policy, (or maybe were cancelled
