Large, friendly congregation and powerful minsters: Dr. James Howell is their pastor and he's a brilliant, brilliant man -- educated at Duke-- possibly one of the best speakers I've ever had the pleasure to hear. His sermons are funny, passionate, moving, and extremely topical. And Joe Hamby, their legendary youth minster, is a force to be reckoned with and wildly popular among even the most unruly kids. Not that churches need reviews, but it is an honor to be a member at MPUMC.
