Review content:
My AC unit went out Saturday night, and I called the office (24/7). The answering service routed me to a technician who called me the next day. He was helpful in giving me an idea as to what broke and the potential solution. I called Monday morning for an appt, and they sent a technician in two hours! Joe gave me a courtesy call and walked me through the problem. He advised me that the cost of the repairs, coupled with the corrosion in the side of the AC unit, it is probably best to replace the unit, after discussing other options. After all, the repairs would be close to $1,000. The AC unit is 11 years old. Given the heavy corrosion on the sides, we agreed it is fiscally best to replace ... probably our previous dog urinated on the AC causing the corrosion. He also gave me options of replacing, and the best is to get a comparable unit (no need for higher SEER). Anyway, Joe was able to replace the unit on his own schedule, and he came back in two days! He did a thorough job in installing, testing, and making sure the furnace works together with the AC. He is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. So, if you call McDonald, ask for Joe!
