Granted, these guys aren't always the cheapest in town, but some things are worth paying for. At least, I don't have to wander the aisles frantically searching for my home repair item, for inevitably, someone greets me at the door as I walk in (they are helpful though--not pushy!) and asks to be of service. Their paint department keeps a record of all the paint I have purchased, along with my comments (bedroom wall, den ceiling, etc.) so if I ever need to buy more, I don't have to have the original can or remember the name--and it's already saved me once or twice! If they don't have what I want, they will call their other stores until they find it. I don't know much about home improvement and they are always patient with me.
it's a real hometown environment with personalized service and a great selection. They also have a frequent buyer card which helps lower prices in the long run.
