I needed to find a storage facility 2 years ago when the condo we were renting during the construction of our home sold and the only rental we could find at the time was furnished. I had just purchased the dining room set of my dreams that was to be the showcase of our new home's dining room and that, along with other precious items, were carefully wrapped and stored at Mogul Self Storage. I picked Mogul because it was closest to Truckee where we live. I assumed my property would be safe, but I had a renter's insurance policy just in case. Knowing what I know now, I would have spent more time investigating other facilities. Mogul is in a wind and weather tunnel and my items were ruined by driving water and debris which seeped under and through the door of my unit and produced mold and water damage to my table, matresses, bedding and more. My insurance policy did not cover the damage because it was caused by a faulty door; the manager of the facility viewed the damage concurred to my
