Review content:
Dr. Mellinger at Northwood provides wonderful care for small animals. Clearly an animal lover (especially dogs), he deals with health maintenance and surgical treatments. It is pretty easy to get an appointment, but there are days that are very busy and there can be a bit of a wait. Costs seem comparable to other area vets, and emergencies are handled well. The office does have to send some samples out to area labs, so you sometimes have to wait a bit for test results, but this is no different than the majority of other vets in the area. A nice treat is the wood carving in front of the office.
