Review content:
I used to be a member when Planet Fitness was called Powerhouse Gym. I chose it because of its convenient location, the great hours, and they offered classes in many areas. I was a member for barely a month and the management changed brands. They gave about a weeks notice that all classes were canceled because they were no longer going to have them. They turned a great gym into a weight room with treadmills. As soon as I found out I went to cancel my membership. The guy who owned the gym gave lots of flack about it and wanted to charge me a fee for not providing enough notice. The entire focus of the gym changed without proper warning, I had just joined. They would have known a month in advance that they were switching franchises. Its unethical to do that without informing a potential client.
