I saw some of the ads on T V, I took in a 12 place setting of sterling silver flatware, my class ring from 1963 and my wife's class ring, some broken gold chains, native American jewelry from my mother,some of dads old 5 and 10 year retirement pins. I also brought in my coin collection from when I was young,some old silver dollars from the 1800's, and other coins that were silver. The owner, looked over the coins carefully, he found a 1885CC dollar, which he told me was worth over $300.00,I sold my coin collection for $1150.50,the silverware set that we have not used in many years, I was paid $1435.00. My class ring that I paid $25.00 in 1960 returned me $194.00 , my wife's ring was smaller, she only received $55.00. The turquoise jewelry brought $215.00. I was surprised at the amount we received from the broken chains, I was just going to throw them out, thinking they were unrepairable or out of style, we got $285.00.
