I moved to Asheville almost 7 years ago and immediately began to have sinus problems. For the first few years I relied on my family dr for treatment but then I had to be referred out as the progression of infections only got worse. Dr. Currens treated me for awhile and after needing steroids and antibiotics over and over again he recommeded sinus surgery. I was very fearful about it because I had heard horror stories from people. Everyone knew someone that surgery hadn't worked for but it was hard to find someone to say something positive. Dr. Currens was very patient with me while I made a decision. That was almost three years ago and except for the post surgery appointment I haven't needed to see him. I am so glad that I had the surgery. It really changed my life.
