Review content:
I switched from Chase to Neighborhood Credit Union to avoid the ridiculous fees. Unfortunately, NCU does the same thing. Here is what happened to me.\r \r 1) I opened a new account with NCU and specifically told them that I don't want any "courtesy" fees charged to my account. In other words, if there is no money in my account, decline the transaction.\r \r 2) Within one month, I received a fraud warning. I had to close my checking account, and open a new one.\r \r Here is the kicker. Instead of opening an account with the same terms as I originally opened it, they pulled a bait-and-switch. Unfortunately I did not realize this until nine months later when my account went to $0 and I was hit with several $20 bank fee charges. \r \r They say that credit unions are supposed to serve the members. NCU seems very much like most other banks. \r \r Be very careful setting up new accounts with them. Don't sign ANYTHING unless you read EVERY word. They pulled a switcharoo on me, and I don't want it to hap
