When our transmission went out in our SUV, we took it to Cottman in Saginaw. They quoted us a price of only about $800. The next day they said it was actually going to be more like $1100. After it was all said and done it wound up costing about $1250. Even more irritating when they put the car back together they forgot to hook up some air filter hose. For days my car would cut out and I was really scared to drive it. I took it back to Cottman's and they looked at it and suggested what part it might be. He said it would probably only cost about $12. $20 dollars later the part was on (installed by my husband) and the problem was still evident. I called them again and they told me it was nothing they could fix because it had nothing to do with the transmission. That weekend I took it to my mechanic and he immediately found the hose that was not hooked up! I drove home happy - nearly giddy! Although they did get the transmission fixed, I'm not so sure about the level of customer service we
