My dog was staying with my son in Fishers due to my work schedule. My dog (Dude) was taken to the Fishers Vet Hosp for diarrhea the first time and two times a month apart because although he did not have diarrhea, he was losing weight, his ears were turning black and leathery and he was very hyper. Fishers did nothing except put him on a prescription diet and order more tests. (Total of $900) When I saw Dude he was down to 15-1/2 pounds and had absolutely no body mass, I took him to Dr. Thunell. Dr. Thunell took him off the diet (which was for a dog with diabetes or digestive problems), put him on his regular food, and gave him something for his anxiety. (My son's dog had died, who was Dude's crate mate). He also said he had mites, which he also treated. Total bill: $132. In 4 weeks Dude gained all his weight back, his ears cleared up and he is the healthy dog he is meant to be. Fishers Vet is listed in Indianapolis Monthly as the best vet hosp in Indiana. They are the best
