I have a ton of long, heavy, thick hair and am used to getting 'ok' but not great cuts from most places. I had a spontaneous desire for a haircut yesterday and was able to get a same day appointment at Ippatsu with Abby. She listened to my ideas, provided some of her own, and was friendly throughout the process. The salon was hip and trendy but managed to stay approachable for someone un-hip like me. Roxanne, the resident chihuahua, was a nice surprise, even though she was having a moody day. I have never had a nicer haircut - Abby did a beautiful job of dealing with my thick hair and making it look polished. At $40 for a basic haircut, Ippatsu isn't cheap. In my case, however, the price was well worth it and I'll be going back to Abby from now on.\r \r Edit 2/12/2009:\r Abby has left this salon for Serenity in Clinton, IL.
