I just got off the phone with the receptionist at Animal Medical Ctr and I was 100% impressed. We are bringing home our new puppy tomorrow and I had already made an apointment at another vet. When I made my original apointment I forgot to ask about the cost- this time, when they called with the reminder I remembered to ask and was blown away by the fee for puppy shots! I quickly started calling around and reached the Animal Medical Center. The receptionist who is NOT a vet informed me of all the shots my puppy would be getting and also informed me that as he is a Shetland Sheepdog they would not give him a Leptospirosis shot. This is dead on to what all Sheltie breeders have told me. Shetland Sheepdogs have adverse reactions to this shot, and in fact many of the more informed vets have stopped giving the Lepto shots because the side effects from the shot are worse then the illness.
