Let me tell you our roofing story...in early 2011 we started calling roofing companies to get our aging roof redone...yes we were having some small leaks here and there, but nothing major. \r

We called 4 local roofing companies, Home Depot and Sears...One guy wanted to put the new roof over the old one...BIG MISTAKE...\r

Semper West explained it like this 1) you will never know if you have bad wood, 2) the old roof will cause the new roof to have a shorter life because it stays hot, and 3) should you have a major problem with shingles flying off, you have just voided the warranty, because the manufacturer does not allow new roofs to be put on old ones...\r

Learning all this from Semper West, they gave us a very competitive bid, and had the new roof on on one day, including replacing 7 plywood sheets that were bad. The crew was very efficient and quick. We are very happy\r

BTW..IMO...If I were you, I would not waste one minute of my time with Home Depot or Sears roofing...they wer
