Review content:
I had new front rotors on my car for less than a year and they warped a bit so I had Monro in Pineville turn the rotors. They ruined one rotor. The technician said their lathe had bad bands and they must watch the lathe to make sure it doesn't "chatter." He was busy working on something else and it chattered, thereby cutting grooves into my rotor. The rotor was usable but the brakes squealed. (yes, ceramic pads.) He told me to "set" the brakes by braking hard a few times. This didn't help. When I went back to have them turn them again they showed me the grooves and told me they were causing the squeal. I explained to the manager that they, in fact, had created the grooves. I asked him to turn the rotor again and he couldn't because there wasn't enough metal left over. He then said there was nothing they could do. I had to buy a new rotor at Auto Zone and put in on myself. These guys have great service when you're standing there with money in your hand.
