9/16/05 Went back to see if any improvement has been made. Ordered the filet mignon, $28, chopper, $14, and the tumbleweed onions, $5. The meats were ordered medium. The one pound chopper of ground beef was cooked perfectly and is still great with the bacon, cheese, and mushrooms. After a 30 minute wait the filet came very rare. This is just not acceptable for a place that is known for its steaks. It got sent back and 20 minutes later a charred hunk of meat was presented. It got sent back as well. After another 25 minutes later the manager presented a new filet which looked like a New York strip. The fact it took them so long to take corrective action and on top of it the wrong steak was presented was cause for the manager to comp the whole meal, but he only offered to comp the steak. Again I highly suggest you avoid all meats except the chopper. If you are looking for a great steak, see my review of Langley's in Windsor. I must admit that I love their western atmosphere with all the wood carved cowboys and wooden decor. I will keep coming here just for that and the beans. Them beans are yummy.\r

7/26/05 It was nearly 9 years ago that I ate here last. The steaks were not impressive. I stayed away from the steaks this time around and got the Chopper, a $14 pound of ground sirlion topped with bacon and cheese. It came with all-u-can-eat salad, sourdough bread, and beans. The salad had loads of cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and red onions. The beans were great and a little spicy and the bread was awesome. The meats are advertised from the Harris Ranch. Tumbleweed onions and shrimp wrapped with bacon (served with a very spicy lime chutney dip) appetizers were an excellent value and both were quite tasty. The decor was like you stepped back into the 70s and now that is becoming rather chic. Considering the value and the quality of food - the prices are fair. Expect to exit spending at least $27-35 a person if you opt for steaks.
Pros: Chopper, all-u-can-eats, appetizers
Cons: front door hard to find, steaks
