The combination of bookstore and coffee shop revolutionized the book sale industry. While Barnes & Nobles may not have originated the idea, they have nearly perfected it into an artform. The comfortable leather chairs scattered about the store provide nice places to read a few pages into prospective books (or the entire book if you have the time).
