Went to see Dr. Anast today about ear mites...Dr. Anast diagnosed my dogs condition as a yeast infection in her ear, and not mites...which was fine. After a 3 minute examination, he prescribed a medicine called "Gentizol", which was also fine...then I went to pay my bill...it was $95. After leaving, I arrived home and researched the cost of a 15mg tube of Gentizol...$12.95. A 3 minute visit, and the medication for $95 is ridiculous. Dr. Anast is a nice enough person, always shakes my hand and treats my dog with respect...but to charge me that much was, in my humble opinion, definitely being a little too greedy. \r \r When I first brought my dog to him for kennel cough, after I rescued her from Lied, he "donated" a 20 pill bottle of Cephalexin, which I thought was really cool of him...now I know why.
