I was 13 years old when i started training at the Mid Michigan Academy. I had a VERY bad attitude and was very cocky and disrespectful to my parents. Within a month of training here that turned around completely. On top of the top-notch self-defense based training I have received in my 6 or so years at the school I have also gained a lot from the incredible personal development training offered. I have learned a tremendous amount of respect patience and most importantly perseverance. One of the biggest things I have accomplished in my life is my eagle scout rank in BSA and without the follow through and stick to it attitude taught to me by the instructors at the dojo I would never have been able to achieve even close to that. The benefits of training certainly do not stop there though. The stress relief that you get from being in class and hitting the pads is amazing especially for a college student around finals time.
