I have a 12.5 y/o male part Dalmatian (neutered) that I adopted from the Honolulu Humane Society in Aug 2002. At the adoption, I was informed that my dog had a bad case of heart worms, I educated myself on the disease and shopped around for suitable treatment. What a shock to learn about treatment costs: $700-$1500!\r

Blue Cross Animal Hospital provided professional treatment at about a third of the cost that other clinics were charging. I was skeptical (you get what you pay for...) but low on funds. So, my dog underwent treatment, completed same, and was back to his old energetic self in no time. He survived treatment in fine form. I also use a military vet for routine care. For the big stuff, I go to Blue Cross Animal Hospital, e.g., rt lower molar extraction, teeth cleaning, dog bite on front paw. and so forth. \r
