Review content:
As a former vet tech of almost 10yrs, the only advice I would give potential clients is to do your homework. Ask the veterinarian specifics on his or her specialties. Inquire about how many times he/she has done a procedure. If it is something routine, it would be up to you at the time, anything more than that, I would suggest looking elsewhere, but I also can understand cost. So, if it is a last resort, the bottom line is your pet needs help. Over the years, I have encountered many second opinions and outraged people who have entrusted their pets to Blue Cross. Seeing their pet first hand and reading the diagnosis and/or seeing the service (or high lack thereof) was an eye opener. I've never heard so many overall bad complaints and of animals dying for no preventable reason in all the years I've worked with animals. Staff may be friendly and helpful, but remember, they are not the doctor. They just follow procedure. Just a heads up for anyone inquiring.
