Review content:
This course (which is home to the North Texas Chapter of the PGA) got off to a running start. Most courses have growing pains, but this was a good one from day one. Unfortunately for me, it seems to be getting harder (my fault, not the course's). Three of the par 3's are downright tough (and rated so on the card) and the first par 5 is a bear: I still can't figure how far to hit the drive and where to lay up for best results. But what's fun is the eighth hole on each side. If you can shape a shot left to right, you can be putting for eagle on both No. 8 (278 yards from the second-longest set of tees) and No. 17 (262 from the blues). Another nice thing here: There are discounted rates for military, firemen, police officers, women, juniors and seniors. And even without a discount, it's extremeley affordable
