Don`t be fooled by that old stereotype of the expensive and snobby local music shop! The folks at MUSIC BOX,Lodi are knowledgable,friendly and extremely easy to talk to. I`m telling you,THE MUSIC BOX is the only place you need to shop at because they`re local (yay!), you will get HONEST and EXPERIENCED advice & information and their prices actually rival those of the "big box" music stores. As a beginning (self-taught) hobbist bass player I was worried I would`nt be taken seriously at a "real" music store. They treated me like a king and made me completely comfortable. No question you can ask is too simple or too dumb and you`ll dig the friendly atmosphere that pervades the Music Box employees (and fellow customers). \r

On my first visit I had a set of Ernie Ball Slinkys put on my used Squier P-bass and the gentleman had it done that afternoon AND he checked the intonation,neck truss rod and adjusted the action for me ( he pretty much gave my bass a set up) and then ONLY charged m
