I have had dogs all my life and have always felt that you find out the most about your vet during the tough times - not the routine visits. \r

We recently went through this with our girl Maggie. Maggie blew a disc in her back last Christmas requiring surgery at the University of PA. At that same time, a mass in her chest was found. Although the back surgery was surprisingly successful (no one thought she would get back as much function as she did) the cancer in her chest took off 6 months later and we lost her.\r

The entire staff at Longwood was so understanding and sympathetic it really helped us get through the ordeal. I would highly recommend them.
